SPRING INTO THE PAST

Saturdays and Sundays only │ May 9 – June 7 │ 10 AM – 5 PM

Experience the traditional Old World journey through a self-guided exploration of the full site! Celebrate spring with us as we begin our springtime chores! Guests can check out the newest additions to our flocks and see how we transform wool from sheep to socks with hands-on experiences for all ages. Help prepare the gardens for the growing season and lend a hand in the kitchen or barn as you step back in time.

All activities included with general admission, purchased on-site.

Sheep baaaaing

Shear Delight Weekend

May 9-10  

Join us for sheep shearing, and help us open our site for our 44th season!  Watch as our sheep undergo their yearly shearing and emerge fresh and ready for the summer. Try your hand with the shears, and then see how wool is transformed from sheep to socks!

This is a featured program included with general admission. Members are admitted for FREE.

Mother’s Day

May 10  

Moms receive general admission for FREE! Treat mom to our popular Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet, served in the historic Clausing Barn, before beginning a time travel adventure on site. Reservations and separate ticket required for buffet. Buffet prices: Adults (13 and older) $32, Children (5-12) $20. Children under five are FREE. Wisconsin Historical Society members receive a 10% discount. Call ahead to reserve a table (262-594-6301).

Heritage Breed Weekend

May 16-17  

Hear the sound, smell the smells, and feel transported as you see horses pull historic plows through the rich Wisconsin soil. Meet the teams and drivers and explore a world of Heritage Livestock as we kick off International Heritage Breeds Week! Learn more about efforts to protect endangered livestock and poultry breeds from extinction as you spend the weekend on our historic farms!

Memorial Day Weekend

May 23-24

All active and retired military personal receive free admission all weekend long. Help with chores, did into the garden, explore the village, and meet our heritage animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of our new Story Spots, where you can ask and learn more about your own family’s stories and traditions.
