About Our Workshops

Welcome to a slice of life in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Spend a day with us and learn how to bend hot metal to your will as a blacksmith. Or try cooking your midday supper on a wood-fired stove. Make soap, sausage or candles, or weave a basket, braid a rug or carve a spoon. You can even learn to take stunning landscapes or take the reins and learn to drive a horse-drawn carriage.

Our workshops are an engaging way to spend the day. We offer intimate class sizes, so we expect our workshops to fill quickly, so register today. Our classes are led by museum staff members so you'll learn from our experts. And you can't beat our period-appropriate classrooms — indoors and out.
