Let's Move! Museums Initiative at Old World Wisconsin
Old World Wisconsin is proud to have been named a "Let's Move! Museum" — one of only 12 in Wisconsin. "Let's Move!" is America's move, launched by First Lady Michelle Obama on February 9, 2010, to raise a healthier generation of kids, with focus on developing healthy eating and exercise habits right from the start.
Initiative priorities
- Eat healthy, get active exhibits
- Learning about healthy food choices and physical activity through afterschool, summer and other programs
- Healthy food service
- Learning about healthy food choices and physical activity using food service operation

Old World Wisconsin supports this initiative
Our museum supports this initiative through events that promote physical exercise while having fun. We even have "Walk the Site" routes marked on our Visitor Guide — with miles of roads and trails that are made for you to explore!

Healthy eating, the old-fashioned way!
We offer many camps and workshops where we invite you to pick your own vegetables from our heirloom gardens, and then work with us to prepare them into something yummy.
When you visit, look for our gardeners; they're happy for you to help — and learn more about how to grow healthy foods yourself.
