Self-Guided Field Trip Day

Attend Old World Wisconsin for a special self-guided field trip day! This opportunity is based on feedback by teachers and parents like you.

On this special date you can tour at your own pace, arriving and departing as you choose. Your visit is self-guided, allowing you more flexibility than our standard field trip options. You can tailor your trip to match your curriculum and class learning goals. We recommend touring in groups of 5 students with a limit of 1 paid chaperone per group plus teachers and assistants.

What You'll See

Meet with period-clad interpreters and enjoy the same interactive activities featured in our structured elementary field trips. You will have the opportunity to visit your choice of areas, including:

  • The 1880s Village
    (Industrialization, Entrepreneurs)
  • The Norwegian Area
  • The German Area
    (Farm House, Farm Yard)
  • Farmer's Hall
    (Family Pastimes)
  • The African American Area will be open with limited programming.
