Picnic Space

Bring your own lunch! Ample shaded picnic facilities surround the Visitor Center green and the Norwegian area for groups bringing their own lunches. Please keep in mind that refrigerated storage is not available. Please indicate the time you'd like to reserve your picnic space on your Field Trip Request Form. Reservations for picnic space are required. Reserve today!

    Add a Visit to the Museum Store

  • If your group has extra time, visit the Shadows of the Past Museum Store in historic Ramsey Barn. Shop for a variety of keepsakes and souvenirs.
  • Many items are available from $1 and up; students often spend between $5 and $15 on museum store purchases.
  • Students may want to take home a McGuffey's Reader, a 19th-century game, or a handmade keepsake. Don't forget some of Old World Wisconsin's homemade cookies!
