Cost and Pre-Registration

  • Free - children 4 and under
  • $8 per child (ages 5-17)
  • $15 per adult (ages 18+)
  • Prices include use of our tram
  • Wisconsin Historical Society Member discounts applicable. Pre-Registration required. Not a member? Click for details.


  • Clausing Barn will be available.
  • Picnic space is available so bring along a picnic lunch. Beverages are available at our Museum Store and Norwegian and German rest areas.
  • The Museum Store will be open for shopping.

A horse-drawn omnibus tour is also available. Journey 19th-century style through the 1880s Village with a chance to meet and greet "Queen" and "Quincy," our hard-working draft horses. $3 per person. Available from Noon to 2 pm. Rides are 15-20 minutes long. No registration required, and payment can be made with the omnibus attendant. Pick-up and drop-off is located near the Blacksmith Shop in the 1880s Village.

What are Homeschool Days?

Homeschool Days are specially designed days for small educational groups visiting Old World Wisconsin. Your visit is self-guided and flexible. You will have access to many activities AND our interpreters’ attention, PLUS the benefit of your group being able to move around the site at your own pace.

Please note that the site will be closed to the General Public. Advance registration for the day that you plan to attend is required.

What You'll See

Meet with costumed interpreters and enjoy the same interactive activities featured in our structured elementary field trips. You will have the opportunity to visit your choice of areas, including:

  • The 1880s Village
  • The Norwegian Area
  • The German Area
  • Farmer's Hall

Ketola, Rankinen, Harmony, and Pedersen will be closed to Homeschool Groups
