The Spirit of Christmas Past
Saturday, December 07, 2013 - Sunday, December 08, 2013 Noon-4 pm
Warm up by crackling wood-fired stoves, and stroll through our 19th-century Wisconsin village, decked out for the holidays. Take an old-fashioned, horse-drawn bobsled ride for a small fee (or wagon ride, depending upon snow cover), witness the making of historic holiday recipes like mincemeat pie, wassail and sugar plums, sample old-fashioned holiday baking, make traditional ornaments, sing Christmas carols and visit with Santa, as he was imagined by Thomas Nast.
On Saturday, December 7, from 1–3 pm, sportscaster Jessie Garcia, author of 'My Life With the Green and Gold: Tales from 20 Years of Sportscasting,' will be on hand in the museum store to sign copies of the book (just in time for holiday gift giving). On Sunday, December 8, enjoy the East Troy High School choir's concert at 1, 2 and 3 pm.
$5 per person (toddlers 4 and under free). The Saturday, December 7, book signing is free and open to the public.
