Halloween Dinner Theater: 'Frankenstein'

Friday, October 12, 2012 - Sunday, October 14, 2012   Friday, October 12, at 7 pm. Saturday, October 13, at 5 and 8 pm, Sunday, October 14 at 5 pm

Begin the evening with a themed meal in the historic and fully decked out Clausing Barn, followed by a walk to the historic Caldwell Farmers' Club Hall for an engaging play that will have you on the edge of your seat. "Frankenstein," by R.N. Sandberg, brings Mary Shelley's terrifying novel to the stage in an adaptation that reveals a much more complex and tormented creature than found in the classic Boris Karloff movies. Victor Frankenstein has done the impossible — given life to inanimate matter. But his triumph turns to terror as his grotesque and despairing creation follows him home, threatening and demanding that Victor do the one thing he has sworn never to do — create another creature like himself, a companion, a wife. Reservations required; Halloween Dinner Theater performances sell out. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather. Additional showings of "Frankenstein" will be presented October 18-21 and October 25-28.
